Welcome

Welcome to Carolina East Counseling where individuals learn that when they begin making positive self-changes, those that matter most to them become their natural beneficiaries.  It can be difficult for those who have always put others first to grasp that the importance of putting one's self first becomes a gift that keeps on gifting to self and others. It truly is a selfless act to purposefully work on yourself and to support and encourage others to do the same.

THOUGHT-BASED APPROACH

Help for Your Unique Life

Individuality

Are you at a place where you realized that for many years you have given of yourself to others and forgot to put the oxygen mask on yourself or didn't realize you were supposed to wear it first?  It is time for you to begin making changes and learn how to put the mask on yourself first so that those that matter most to you naturally benefit without having to do anything more.

Acceptance & Self Empowerment

Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond to certain situations and identify what we should try to control.  In sessions, you’ll learn about acceptance and empowerment and how to exert your power of choice over whatever life may throw at you.

Development of Tools

This focus is a favorite among many of my clients, as it is often times one of the keys to a happier, healthier mind, body, and spirit. My responsibility is to gift you tools and techniques to achieve a balanced and fulfilling lifestyle: working towards an overall general sense of well-being. After several sessions, you will begin to feel motivated to make change and well-versed at handling issues you've identified whenever and wherever they arise.

Hello:  I feel it is important that you know a little about me.  I graduated from Arizona State University with a Doctor of Behavioral Health Degree where I was trained to partner with medical health professionals in integrative care clinics as it relates to chronic diseases and mental health. I also graduated from Webster University with a Master of Arts in Counseling Degree.  Afterwards, I became fully licensed as a LCMHC in 2013 and a NCC in 2014.  Additionally, I graduated from Campbell University with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major of Psychology and I graduated from University of Mount Olive with a Bachelor of Science Degree with a major of Business Administration: Management and Organizational Development.  I believe that because of my own life's experiences and accomplishments (professional and personal), I have been able to successfully partner with many diverse individuals (civilians and military members/families) in being part of facilitating their self-growth, encouraging compassion, empathy, acceptance for self and others and the importance of building healthy boundaries. If you are feeling overwhelmed by life’s demands and are wanting to look into making changes to improve your mind, body, and spirit, it would be my honor to partner with you and/or your loved one.
